Silicone Removal
I've removed the rubber trim from my front mudguards and there's loads of silicone left behind. Does anyone know how to remove it?

If it's silicone and not PU adhesive then this works well

If its silicone sealant then white spirit dissolves it, use it all the time at work.
Give a man a fish & it will feed him for a day, give him a fishing rod & you've saved a fish.

Good point - we use it on ali castings at work, I dont think its harsh enough to damage paint but best to wait for some more expert advice from the
locostbuilders experts :-)

White spirit "should" be ok on most paints. It dissolves household gloss but only when wet.
I'd peel and pick off by fingernail as much as I could then use either of the above options. Try
a test with the Screwfix option on an unexposed area.

I used a toffee wheel to remove some sealant off my fibreglass panels on my ambulance.

Not tried it myself but WD40 can be used to soften silicone. It should be ok with paint finishes.

I went with the Screwfix option and it worked pretty well
It looks like someone has put some type of epoxy resin/superglue type of product on in places and i can't seem to shift that but all in all it
looks good
