Steering Wheel Height

I'm really struggling with leg space in my Locost due to me being a lanky sod. My hands keep hitting my knees so I need to raise up the steering column.

I've had a sit in "yellowcabs" awesome busa Indy and compared measurements with my own car. The pedal-seat back length is the same, the width in the seating area is the same - the different is his steering wheel centre is at 22" where as mine is at 20".

To sit in his car felt so much more comfortable than my own, so I guess the column is going to need to come up; the joys of buying a car that was built for someone else I guess!

I'm just curious as to what other heights people have their wheel at?

Aswell as the height of the wheel itself, wasn't the bottom of the dash quite low on yours too? (to the floorpan I mean)

Hope you get the answers you want, ready to give you a hand modifying it if need be
