Fuel lines

Hi guys, new to the forum as you can see.

Im building a time attack evo for next year and have a question for you:

Fule lines inside or underside? the car will have a flat floor, splitter, and defuser.

Thanks Paul

It depends on what you term 'inside'. In the cockpit is a bad thing, but outside the flat floor would be similarly bad. Most cars have fuel lines exposed to the outside (so as not to potentially fill the cabin with fumes), but tucked away out of reach in various nooks and crannies. The flat floor would then go underneath.

Thanks for the reply,

yes I meant in the cockpit, and on the floor between the floor chassis and the flat floor.

Inside will stop them from getting damaged but it does stink of fuel. My boss has 2 rally cars both of which I have driven. One has normal braided fuel line and it stinks. The other has Kevlar lined lines and there is no smell at all. I would say its expensive though.
