westfield or Locost chassis?
is this a westfield pre-lit chassis (alloy bodied pre-lit)?

Its not an alloy bodied pre-lit. The arrangement of the engine bay tubes are completly wrong and bare no resemblance.

front wishbones look like westfield (i have further pics), interior width is 395mm measured from propshaft tunnel to entry...so from that point of
view it would match with a westfield.
dash looks locost-ish, bonnet looks too wide for a westfield

Wishbones look similar to current westfields but on prelits they were U shaped not V shaped
Engine bay, tunnel, headlamp mounts and nosecone tabs are completely wrong though
This is what an alloy prelit looks like

finally we found a chassis number on a little plate welded on the typical westfield area (crossmember in front of engine).
the plate has the correct size, the same welding as the rest of the chassis, its powedercoated and the numbers are the correct size as westfield used
them
it has a 1987 SE chassisnumber.
