Seamless tube for wishbones
Hi, having a bit of difficulty sourcing some 19mm & 25mm seamless tube for wishbones.
I have found a pipe supplier that does it but are asking questions such as wall thickness etc.
Does anyone in the know, know the spec of the tube needed? (The supplier says 19mm not common O/D, it would be something like 20.4mm?).
OR where to get it in Scotland?
Cheers
Craig

Found an answer on the interweb from Talon Motorsport;
lower wishbone tubing is 25x2mm or 1"x14gauge CDS upper tube I use 19x2mm or 3/4x14gauge CDS both are mechanical grade Cold drawn seamless.
Is this purchased from a steel or pipe supplier?

I got mine from Hydraulic Power Services in Leven, it was 10+ years ago so no idea on grade actual grade, it was definitely CDS though.

Lower wishbones, I used second hand Land Rover panhard rods, costs pennies as people through them away when the ball joints fail.

Hi
Don't use 3mm wall tube, you'll bend the chassis before the wishbone in an accident. 2mm / 14guage is most commonly used.
