16g 3/4 round
Well too many years after buying the book I am finally taking action.
So I went shopping to Liverpool Steel Supplies this morning (seem to be the only people local who do any 16g) but they don't do round
section.
Anyone know where I can get 16g 3/4 round in the north west ?
Or do I use 3/4 RHS for all the triangulation ?
ps : My 'shopping list' was the McSorley cut list.
Thanks
Nige

No they weren't being difficult, quite the opposite. They simply don't do the stuff.
I'm on the Wirral.

I think the current wisdom is to use 25x25 for all the triangulation, 25mm seamless round for the wishbones - cuts down the variety of steel required
If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

Just use Rhs Iused 25mm for most of my diagonals easier to cut to size ect ect
very little weight difference.

They can be found on the yell webpages - phone for a brochure.
If you visit (as I did to pick up tubes) its an Alladins cave of steel tubing of all sizes & types

I understand that Universal Steel Supplies, over Manchester way can supply what you need, or try Merseyside Pipeline Supplies.
I am in the Liverpool area, maybe get together to compare mistakes?

Bought the 3/4 round from Leeds today (thanks Joel).
Wish I'd known about the place earlier, could have saved forty quid on the square alone.
6 lengths inch box and 3 lengths 3/4 came to £90 at Liverpool Steel Supplies. John Stansfeld could have supplied for £51 ! Bu***r.
Haven't made any mistakes yet as I've only got as far as buying steel. Apart from the mistake of buying from the wrong place !!
