Its wider but fits the std nosecone

Ok if I decide to build the MC sorely 7 +442 am i right in saying a std nosecone would fit. Also fitting a capri axle which is 4" wider than an escort. So will the front wishbones need to be altered i.e.lengthened to suit the rear axle track. As a matter of interest will this allow me a greater choice of seat types and has anyone sourced a windscreen set up for this that can be fitted after the sva. I still can't decide which one to build guys i want the room but not necessarily the hastle of sourcing one off parts.

It seems a lot of Capri axle are only 2 inches wider than an Escort, some Capri axles are 4 inches wider as are MK3+ Cortina.

For suitable wishbones see GTS, MNR and MK websites.

Sh*t i thought i had it sussed. I still reckon that 442 may be the way to go as it would allow a chice of seats and all of the engine options i have considered. You could be right about the capri axle as i have just measured a half shaft and its only 1" longer than the escort one.

If you look in the GTS section of the forum you'll see a discussion about some off the shelf wide bodywork we are now doing for the McSorley builds.

Everything from wishbones to dedion axles are also available too.

Kind regards,

Darren
