RS 2000 Engine mounts

Hi all, I'm new here and this is my first post, but I guess it won't be my last! I am at rolling chassis stage building a 'book' Locost and I wondered if I can fit Ford Escort Mk 2 RS2000 engine mounts. The plates are welded to the bottom of the chassis as I was going to fit modified Sierra mounts but I have a Mk 2 Escort 1300 crossflow engine which I'm now planning to use. I really need to know if the holes in the RS mounts will line up with the ones on the engine. If not, can anyone suggest which mounts would be best?
Cheers,
Jon

RS mounts

No RS mounts will not fit on to a cross flow
RS mount are alloy
You will have to use the 1300 steel mounting and cut and weld ot fit your chassis

good look

Hi
Im pretty sure that you can use the alloy rs engine mounts on your x-flow, because you use them in x-flow escorts to alter the engine position slightly when fitting type 9 'boxes.
Dont know if theyll line up on the chassis though.

cheers Jake

As far as I have seen so far both XFlow and Pinto engines have the same mounting holes in the block.
The standard XFlow mounting brackets are usable, the Pinto stays are not (too high).
