Chassis Paint

I want to repaint some large areas of my chassis. Originally it was painted with something called Ameron Tractol? Anyway I will strip it back, treat, etch prime etc but for the top coat what sort of aerosol is best? ie Hard wearing but won't kill me spraying it at home?

The aerosol is available Cellulose, Acrylic Enamel or Synthetic Enamel. 1 or 2k. I don't want to die so I'm thinking 1k but which type?

Thanks

Synthetic paint is good for a chassis. It stays soft so less likely to chip etc.

But for a chassis I bought some of this stuff, but is hand-paint. Seems tough and I have used it over a light spray of etch, the manufacturers say OK on bare steel.

Tractol is supposed to be good (implement paint).

Used Frosts Extreme chassis black on the caravan chassis with UPOL #8 acid etch (not recommended with the chassis black but seems to be working for me). Early days but seems o.k.

The nice thing about the above chassis black is it's white spirt-based and goes "flat" even with a brush.

Best I’ve ever found is STEEL-IT, which now comes in black too if that’s your thing. Used by a lot of the offroad racing scene in the US with a few youtube vids on the subject.

Buy direct from Germany.

It's been a few years since I bought some as I bought quite a few rattle cans and they cost 18euro each plus 18euro shipping. You'd probably need 12cans to do a full locost chassis.
