Making a repackable exhaust silencer

Hi all,

Built myself a new repackable silencer a few months ago. It worked well over the summer, had a few nice runs out without needing ear defenders any more. Made a short video of the build. Hope you enjoy it.

Cheers

Tilly

Wish I could weld like that... or even 1/2 as well. Did you consider longer as well?

Take care not using ear plugs however good your silencer is. Wind noise can be nearly as bad.
Also the amount of Accoustafil looks a bit excesive; the online calculators have been found to overpack and about 2/3 to 3/4 the recommended amount seems to give the best silencing. It looks pretty loosely filled at that, until it's been heated and expanded.
