Tubing for Wishbone/ chassis MKII

How critical is it to use 19mm O/D Tubing for the wishbones/ chassis?

I can get some 21.34mm seamless st.st tubing for free with a wall thickness of, 2.77mm, 3.73mm or 4.78mm.

If i do have to use 19mm tubing i can turn it down but that will leave me with a maximum wall thickness of 2.44mm (i.e. 4.78mm -2.34mm), would this be ok.

All comments are welcome.

Cheers
Welshy

PS I can't/ don't know where to source any 19mm o/d tubing (Leeds) that is why i am having to do it this way.

hi welshy, the od is not that critical at all,but it must be solid drawn , ie no seamed stuff. and if you can get hold of thick wall stuff all the better. cheers davef.
