Stoooopid Brackets

I have just started making my suspension brackets, simple enough job...

Looked at the plans in the book, brackets 38mm high, hole 20mm up from the bottom, EXCEPT, does this include the raduised bend in the measurment? Rons drawing shows all the measurements before the brackets are bent into the U shape. If I get this wrong, I could have a total of 6mm track difference!

Can you tell me what the measurement is from the base of the bracket including the 3mm material thickness to the centreline of the hole?

I am making mine out of 50mm x 3mm RHS, bugger all that bending mallarky! I will use washers to fill out the difference, and give a bit of caster adjustment if I need it.

Thanks

Mark

does 6mm really matter? as long as they are all the same.

road cars often have 30 - 50mm or more track difference from front to rear.
