Adjustable pedal box

I like the idea of not moving around with weight (~driver) in a car and was wondering if someone has used a (floor mounted) adjustable pedalbox to cope with differences in driver size?

Perhaps someone has pictures of a mechanism...

the grinnal scorpion has a movable pedal box because it has fixed seats.

Bike engined cars are slightly rear baised in weight and so sliding the seats forwards will actually help.

Saying that, even a car engined car, with it's slight front bias may be helped by moving the seats as they are so near the rear of the car.

It is not for a Seven.

Any idea how they lock the pedals and whether it is easy to adjust them (tools needed?)

CC Cyclone had an adjustable pedal box, try searching for someone who owns/has built one of them.

The system used by Marcos has a threaded rod attached to the pedal box and a fixed point on the bulkhead, the rod is rotated using a control knob which winds the complete pedal box assembly backwards and forwards. Obviously the brake connections need to be flexible. Also used an extending steering column from a Triumph G.T.6 .Think they used pendulum type pedals though, H.T.H . Rusty.

Plenty of Westfields out there with fixed seats and pedals!

That's what I'm doing. If you don't fit, you cant drive it, simple!

what about putting some seat runners in your foot well and mounting the pedal box on those?
