KeyFoss <-- Not sure on the spelling

Apologies for the dumb newb question but here goes anyway...

Im getting a chassis blasted this week that's 50% rust and 50% a waxy underseal (It was an abandoned project that has been stood around for a long time) the Guy who's doing it has given me the option of having it "keyfossed" when done for not a lot of money. Im just wondering whats the best thing to finish with on top when it comes back.

Spelling is 'Keyphos'

Quote from another website :

"This is a very thin phosphate etch primer which can be used under powder coat or as a finish. We use keyphos as a finish for the suspension and skeletal frame work of formula one racing cars, where the difference between a good paint job or a bad one is measured in gramme's. Keyphos comes clear or black"

A guy who i work with is into WW2 tanks

he uses this because he doesn't want a painted finish.

apparently keeps the rust off for years.

Must be a very old website that - it is many years since formula one cars had suspension or skeletal frame work made of metal. In fact, chances are, they have been carbon fibre since before websites as we know them, therefore a not totally honest description....
