Lolocost Chassis
Hi.
Can anyone comment on the good or bad of the Robin Hood Lolocost Chassis at £455+vat.I know it would be more of a feel good thing to build from
scratch but I do not have the facility to do that. Any comments would be helpful. I am also looking at the MK route but I am not sure yet.
Cheers.
Steve.
PS how many hours a night in the garage gets you a divorce.

I hear the cars go quicker without baggage!
What about the Lolocost chassis though (any good)?

You may be better talking to Mk , Luego or one of the other 7 esq producers...imho
The lolocost chassis looks well put to gether and the welding looked fine ,rear diff carrier looked a bit iffy..
I just think you stand a better chance of finishing and surport by going a differant route and if you dont get it finished the bits would be worth
more than the llocost items...

Don't know anything about this chassis but if it compares to the engineering quality of other RH products I have seen I wouldn't touch it
at any price!
Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want!!!

From the picture I saw of it all I can say is compared with companies previous products it is a bit of an improvent BUT MK, Luego, GTS or MNR
chassis are all a much safer bet.

So what about MAC1 compared to such as an MK Indy.
Who would choose what between those two and why ??

choosing a car is a tricky one. Robin hoods have an unfortunate reputation, but a good part of that is just hype - everyone says they're shite
so everyone else believes they are shite, but there are loads of finished ones out there.
You could select a manufacturer based on service, locality, owners club support or you could be picky and just go for quality
The only real way to choose is to visit them all, get a test drive and ponder long and hard

I don't think anyone could accuse RH as purveyors of high quality kits. The simple fact is that they supply very comprehensive kits for
comparitively small amounts of money. Invariably quality is a secondary consideration in their business model of "pile it high and sell it
cheap", and to be fair they seem to have done very well from it.
It terms of mechanical design, they suck, the sliding pillar front suspension being a prime example. The kits don't fit together well,
considerable fettling is required. If these points don't worry you unduly, then I think they can offer exceptional VFM. As always, it's
about expectations.
That said, the latest locost chassis appears to be an leagues ahead of their previous efforts.
