Wishbones yet again
Well after dem bones here's the mark 2 version for your appraisell (sp) or slagging off be gentle. I'm quite happy with them apart from
2 things. I think I've over welded the eye bushes and the bone legs could have been doing with being 5mm wider at the eyebush ends. so
here's the evidence

Well thanks for the quick reply and I'm a lot happier with them now that British Trident thinks they're fine. (he seems to be a real
suspension guru from what I've seen and read)
DIY SI the tubes are 3mm wall (bit heavy 2mm would have done i think) cds 25mm O/D. Everything else is 3mm mild steel plate cut out with the good old
hacksaw and file (gets rid of calories).
There are a couple of other photo's in my archive showing how I made the curved plate etc.
The eye bushes are from Lolocost, and were supposed to fit book brackets, but I had to face them off by 2mm to get them to fit mine.
I've still got to weld on the coil over bracket and can't decide on whether to weld a gusset strip underneath it. I think 3mm should be
okay without it. What do you think British trident?

Looks good, I hope mine turn out as well as those did.
How much extra width did you put in them, or did you stick to book?
Cheers

Stuck to book mate as I didn't want to fit tre extensions or a wider rack. In true locost tradition the rack I'm getting is cheap as
chips

I think the 3mm plate will be fine for your shock bracket - but try and get it as close to the ball joint as possible.
