Help with the chassis.

Hello.

I have faced one problem. I have started to build McSorley7+4 Chassi. Today in the morning I began to consider brochure Tiger. I have paid attention on Tiger Avon. It seemed to me, that it has very correct forms! It has wide enough nose and its boards have no curvatures at the top view. And I have thought: " Have will such forms my locost? I want such forms! "

I ask you, tell, what Chassi has Tiger Avon.

It is Very grateful for help.

But the dimensions are all wrong in the book as experienced by several builders.

Quote from Tiger when questioned on the discrepencies:

"I never though anyone would build a chassis from the book as they are so cheap".

Pat...

Buy the second version with the orange avon!
Read the book at least 3 times to find the errors!!!

The book is a good starting-point but don't trust the measurements. The 90 degr angle for the caster must be at the lower not at the top or else you will gain zero caster! Also you will not find the best set-up for the bump-steer by making frame as the book. Also the uprights at the rear could be better (pos. camber set up) i'm lowering the inner pivots at the top-wishbones.

There are more of these tricky errors. My advice is make your own 3D drawings by using the book.

You can't use mine because i'm not finished and made the upper rail smaller and the wheelbase + 100 mm and back of the seat 45 cm.

Maybe you should ask at the tiger avon part in this forum for someone who finished a car only by the book. Good luck
