R1 engine chassis

I am designing my new project chassis and I have my engine dimensions. It is going to be mounted at the rear end.
I want to make the area behind the engine as short as possible.
I know that a starter/reverse will be mounted above the output sprocket.
How much space (longitudinally), should I leave for mounting a chain driven diff?

If you wouldn't mind.
Where did you get it from?

Any chance you have the R1 engine modeled in Solidworks?

It's a standard R1ot diff carrier from Sylva, bolted to their R1 engine carrier. It uses a mk2 XR2 diff, CV joints and driveshafts and an R1 sprocket with their own cover.

I believe they're happy to sell them seperately.

Matt and Steve are both at Stoneleigh tomorrow on the Sylva register stand.

Thanks for the info on the diff. I will give them a call as I have to work today, so no stoneleigh.
I do not have the R1 modelled in solidworks, but I can tell you that the 2006 engine is approx 19" wide, 20" high and 20" from furthest forward point to the rear most point. (the engine is tilted more than the 2005 one but don't ask how much!)

the 2006 is externally identical to the 2004-2005 the only differences are internal.
(the intake ports and the engine map according to yamaha but ive got both a 2005 and 2006 head and they look identical though)

From the rear of the engine to the rear of the carrier is 37cm. The carrier is 16.5cm wide.
