which oil is best
Looking to do an oil change. Pinto 2.0 running on twin 40's. What is the best oil?
Is racing oil a good option due to harsh throttle usage and high temps.

Cam followers lubrication from cold and camshaft blockage of the camshaft oil spray bar are the problems with the Pinto --- you want a highly
detergent 10w/40 enhanced mineral oil or a semi-synthetic.

I was about to recomment Opie Oils.
The number is: 01209215164
They have helped me out on numerous occasions and their prices are pretty good too.
They post on a couple of forums i use, was going to send them an email and tell them about this one as it think their advice would be welcome. They
normally offer a discount if you are a member of a owners club too. They did for me as i was a member of the 106 Rallye Register

Seriously good stuff, apart from the wide viscosity range it dosen't carbonise or for varnishes, engines stay amazingingly clean inside.

I'm with Viper on this one.
Mobil1..Run it in the Mini for the youngster(bit ott, but never broke an engine). Engines were always bright and clean inside at freshen up time, and
the fully synthetic never seemed to 'burn' like the mineral oils.
Cheers,
Syd.
