Chassis update (at last)
Got my chassis back last Friday and started building at last.
Not bad for a week so far:

Oooops.
They're a bit big - not got hang of my new camera yet.
Also managed to put a floor on the engine bay with a small square removable hatch to get to the blade sump.
All going well so far (for a change).

Very impressed
Only problem I can see is the odd looking engine - not a proper engine for a car at all
Looking good though
Cheers

Looking lovely, glad you managed to sort out the powder coating issue.
Just a quick query; most cars I've seen have had a once piece alloy rear bulkhead riveted to the tubes on the cockpit side of the car.
Your's looks like it's made from several small pieces that somehow sit in the middle of the tubes. That's a really crappy
explanation but I hope you know what I mean.

The powder coating issue isn't resolved.
We removed the chassis from the said company and took it somewhere else for a proper job.
The said company still has £200 of mine and it's proving difficualt to get it back.
All my internal panels are individual and fitted in-between the tubes. Not seen another car like this yet and wanted to be different. Held in with a
bead of sika on the inside and outside. It should look great when finished and "trick".
Personal touches and all that.
Cheers everyone,
Pat...

Pat, is there any particular reason you have the prop sliding joint on the diff as opposed to the engine?

Yes.
My engine won't move so don't need one there.
My axle goes up and down a lot !

Looks very nice!!
It's great when the rusty pile of tubes you've been fettling for years is painted/coated and suddenly looks trick and expensive! A good
'wow! I built that!' moment.
You should patent your unique panelling method - Tudor Cottage effect

My steel panels look a bit like that, but welded. For some reason I decided to place the panels down in between the chassis rails so they all sit
flush. Means loads of welding though, but should look quite trick when completed. I hope.
