Chassis Weather Protection
My chassis is powder coated, but on the underside I wanted to improve its durability - on the vunerable areas I was thinking of either overpainting
with some 'stone chip' type paint or a waxoyl type material - has anyone got any comment and/or recommendations on this??
Cheers.

Jasper may be able to tell you what it's called but you can either buy some special rubberised stuff for about £50 a tin at a show or you can
buy the same stuff from your DIY store for doing roofs at about £10 a tin!

Rubbercote, I think it's called. I did a quick Google search, but they're obviously not tuned into the web!
All based on my dodgy memory...

Rubbercoat is good stuff. Stays flexible, doesn't dry out, and can be built up in layers for areas that need a little more protection.
Don't try and use it mid winter as it takes weeks to cure in the cold!!

Take it to a bodyshop and get a quote for PU Spray sealer, its what most car manufacturers use, it cures but stas flexible enough to bounce off
stones, and it will stop the floor drumming because of vibration.

Yeah - I was told to use the liquid rubber in a tin from B&Q used to do roofs. Haven't bought it yet though.

No weather protection, but do the words"metal" and"fatigue" mean anything to you?
