Avon IRS

I'm building a +4 wide chasis, but am going for an irs rear. I have started to build the back end based on the Avon irs (grafted on to the +4 book design), are there any known problems with the Avon design?
The upper arms are very short relative to the long lower arms, does it work ok?

Hi mate, I'm building nearly the same a +442 with a tiger back end, one problem you may come accross and I did buit this was due to my ignorance really is the rear top wishbones are not only short they are quite narrow in the middle, make sure your shockers go through the middle, I didn't check this and no they didn't was good practice any way, alos if I was to do them for a third time I would probably rose joint them as well, just to have complete adjustability.

We race an Avon in the Tiger Series and it handles very nicely, i know that Tiger take a beating on the Avon bodywork but for handling i think (personally) its hard to beat.

Hi, I'm building an avon by the book.

The real problem is that the upper wishbone isn't placed in the right way.
The inner pivots has to be lower to meet cambergain. Your COG will also somewhere but def. not where you want it.

I'm making also other uprights using the Rorty as insperation.
The upper bracket on the upright will be more to the front. There will be a rose-joint to adjust. At Equal hight there will the lower shockmount. (westfield-look)

The short lenght isn't really a problem due the less movement up-down.

Give me about 4 week an U2U hoping than i will have some pictures.
