Not sure of the widths, although it has been discussed before on here.

The Escort axle has an external lever to operate the handbrake whereas the Cortina handbrake cable goes into the back plate.

Someone will have the widths tho, or you may find it in a search.

Cheers

Chris

Hi,
Been discussed in more detail recently. Use www.carfolio.com to find technical specs including track wisth of cars.
The escort and Cortina should be easy to identify since the Cortina is 56" track width and the escort is 52". Note that track wodth is width between the centre of the tyre tread so you will need to compensate to get backplate width.

HTH,
Craig.
