deleloped in conjunction with Jim Mcsorley http://www.mcsorley.net/locost/
we have got some 3d renderings of the chassis.
i Know there is no bracing in place so please dont tell me its not braced

Do you know somewhere to get models of engines from? we could do with a scale model of a rover v8, lt77 gearbox and sierra diff
we've been playing with CAD too

My biggest concerns with using such a beast of an engine are 1, would you be able to get the engine low enough and 2, will you have any legroom left
to be able to operate the pedals?
Another problem with V8's is the amount of heat they create. Even in larger cars the transmission tunnel always gets very hot and it can get
very uncomfortable in the cockpit.
I look forward to seeing it progress!
You can't beat the sound of a v8 engine!
Terry
ps, if you have two exhausts does the SVA man test both for noise?

Hi terry
The engine as shown is the height installed. The legroom is not a problem as Jim sent me some rough dims and i mocked up to check for such things and
made some adjustments.
The heat angle will be mostly cured with the inclusion of some form of vents on the side panel also i have some heat insulation stuff i will place
stratigically around the car.
Mr sva does indeed test both exhausts on a v8 for both noise and emisions so for testing a decibel insert will be used then taken out for the
glorious sound of a V8 with 420bhp

Check out our chassis. It's a Mcsorley 7+4.
We will build the tranny tunnel around the gearbox. Need to devise a mounting for the diff too. Blue - is your de dion model ready for
incorporation?

It's not ready. don't have various measurements and stuff, and info about shocks.
Plus we will need to look at how to cram the v8 in there, and look at cymtriks mods list.. I think that picture may change a fair bit before the
end.
looks pretty though, doesn't it?

Yeah, but what you see there won't change much, although we may need to tweak the front bulkhead a bit depending on how our engine fits. I
don't think it will be a big problem fitting it in... i hope.

OK, but shouldn't there at least be one wheel at the front?

Wow
you got bricks! thought they were optional.
A guy I worked with once had a 10 year old lotus esprit. He left it at work on axle stands, as he was using company facilites to repair the rear
universal joints.
The next day someone had left the car but stolen the stands!
