Just making room for my feet

Hi All,

I've been watching far a while, but this is my first post.

I am a big bloke with huge feet, (not fat, just big), I could not get comfortable in a standard sized locost, so I have drawn up a slightly larger version.

I have a Rover V8 and 5 speed box, also using the SD1 Rover diff. The rest of the car is scaled up to match the wider track, so that even allowing for the diff pinion offset, I can just squeeze in under the steering wheel and still have room for my arse.
The rules here are quite tough so I am using the Rover collapsable steering column. This is adjustable, which will further help with access.

I am hoping that the result will appear to be just a slightly bigger locost, but I will have to wait and see.

Will post pictures when time permits.

Cheers
Bigfoot

Thanks Ned,

Yes I have seen Jim's excellent site. That's what encouraged me to make a bigger car. Mine is 172mm (just over six inches), wider than the book chassis.
