Mark Evans back on telly tonight
Mark Evans the man behind the 'Is Born' series is back on telly tonight 9.00pm Discovery Real Time.
I think they are restoring a Frog Eye Sprite tonight.
Here's some blurb
Mark's latest TV series Wreck Rescue starts 22:00 on Tuesday 9th October 2007 on Discovery Real Time.
Filmed over 12 months mainly in the UK, but also in Sweden, Denmark, Poland, Holland and France, Wreck Rescue features the highs and lows of five very
different workshop projects.

I met him 2 years ago at a Bromley car show and he's a really nice guy.

Is that where his 'workshop/studio' is?
He does love his Landy's

Excellent, I have missed him and Pete mate, they have the right attitude to this restoring/building game.

I always enjoy his programmes, even the non-car ones (like gardening!). He's always funny, and communicates well.
I still reckon he could be a real PITA to know in real life though!

I gave up - that girl's voice was SO annoying!
It was also one of those 'wally taking on a hopeless project' programmes, rather than one that shows how a good restorer works. Along the
lines of 'campervan crisis', 'kit car crisis' and so on.
Shame...

Well i absolutely LOVE the Frogeye Sprite so i was glued to the programme, however it wasn't great and as said that girls voice is very very
annoying. And Mark needs a hair cut

I used to own a Frog-Eye! Great car to drive, cornered like it was on rails, cr*p suspension and no power to speak of.
I don't know if it was just my dislike of the girl, but did you think that Mark looked most unhappy making the programme?

I concur about the girl - barely moved her mouth when talking, very annoying.
A bit of a disappointment - would rather see Mark doing the work.

Unfortunately I have to concur with all the other comments as it was a bit of a disappointment!

I couldn't believe how much weight he has put on. At first I thought it wasn't him and no Pete mate either.
Bit disappointed and that girls voice got on me nerves. Can't believe she paid a grand for that pile of rust

Agreed - It makes some of my dubious buys from the past look like inspired purchases!

Saw the trailer for the series last night - it looks like she finished the car (or her father did!) and it looked quite smart painted white, in the
glimpses I saw.
Not sure if I'll watch any more programmes though...

I've revised my opinion a bit... watched the 2nd episode last night and it was better - the girl didn't whine as much, she made progress
and eventually finished the car very nicely.
I suspect that Dad helped a huge amount though!
