Just started
Hi All,
Just started the build tonight of a book locost with IRS.
I've seen some threads about a 4'' offset in the front end detail as opposed to the 3'' in the book. What is the
reason for this?
Sorry if this is a really silly question that has answers everywhere, but my mind is a little fuzzie these days.
Thanks
Jonah

Gives you more castor angle and more support for the wishbone brackets.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

The problem is that you need enough castor for self-centering.
The book-way gives not enough. You need about 5-8 degr. Try search, there is a lot talked about.
