Couple of questions on rollbars etc...

Hi all, just wondering if you had to have a roll bar for SVA, obviously a good idea but i cant be arsed really. Either that, or can you use suitable braced square tube? Or anyone know a place that make custom designs cos i want one on each side if i have to.

Also does the main dash need to be padded or just radiused?

thanks in advance...

Joel,

I'm also sort of looking at this area at moment.

I emailed Pipecraft, who haven't got back to me (3 weeks), lolocost (who's standard items are cheap) to see if they can bend tube to my design - no reply, but only a couple of days so far. Will ring later!

Not necessary for SVA AFAIK.

I think Merlin or Europa offer a tube bending sevice, but IIRC quite pricey.

Anyone else?

Joel,

Not required as far as i know

Have a look at a thread started by me in the interior section called MDF dash, it explaines all the requirements for the solid / padded dash options.

Not sure on the roll bar, dont think its compulsary, but regards the dash , You dont need it padded but you will need 19mm on bottom edge and I think 2mm on all edges ie guages etc. There was a thread not long ago on it.

I'm sure I've got one, just don't know where I've put it
