Where to buy th eparts to build a one off chassis and wishbones?

Hi,
I am not building a 7 inspired kit car but a Fiat 500 barchetta with a 1.7 16v alfa engine in it. I wanted to know where I can get all the parts to build the chassis, bushes, suspension brackets, wishbone tubing and what thickness is best (i was told 16gauge)?
regards
Alain

get the ron's book, it has all that kind of stuff in, and no doubt various handy hints for your own build.

haynes also publish a car builder's manual, or some title like that.. I had it out from the library, various more general info about different types of chassis, reconditioning brakes, and other stuff.

Alain, sounds an interesting project - I guess you must be going mid-engined. There used to be a fiat 500 which regularly competed at Harewood Hillclimb which had a mid-mounted supercharged alfasud engine. I think it came from the Blackpool area but I haven't seen it for some years. It was road legal and looked standard apart from some serious wheel arch extensions! Would have been a fantastic Q car for traffic lights.
