Book Chassis Basic Dims
Hi
Can anyone give me the (measured) basic dimensions of a "Book Chassis"?
1. Wheelbase
2. Front track (as per the book)
3. Rear track (Escort axle) or
Rear track (Cortina axle) or
Rear track (unmodified Sierra rear end)
Grateful
Joćo

Hi,
Can't help with most of what you require but the Sierra rear end track is 57.8 inches. My build is +4" and my front track is 56" so
I guess the book track is 52".
Note all track widths are between tyre contact patches with ET18 wheels.
Hope this helps,
Craig.

Wheelbase 2290
front track 1360
rear track 1350
that's with a book chassis, capri axle and sierra steel wheels. Escort is slightly narrower.
yours, Pete.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Craig
52" = 1320.8 mm <> 1360 given by Pete
I understand you've done your wishbones "by the book" measures. Is it so?

Front track (1360) is with chassis and suspensions by the book, is it not?
Where's the bl..dy difference?
