sierra hub pinch bolt

my mk uses sierra hubs , and the original pinch bolt does not have any markings on it to say what the tensile strenght of it is.

does this mean that the originals are mild steel bolts? or if they are high tensile what should the rating be ?

if it's the original bolt, chances are the markings have rusted off the head.

i'd imagine in standard trim, it'd be a 10.9, but since in a double wishbone setup, it's far less loaded, an 8.8 is perfectly fine...well, it's massively overkill really.
