Steel suppliers in SE

I'm in Orpington (Jn 4, M25), and am looking for a recommendation for a steel supplier somewhere in the South East London / North Kent vicinity.

Obviously looking to buy the usual 25mmx25mm and 19mmx19mm.

Any suggestions?

I use IS & G Steel in Sydenham SE London, mainly as they are about 2 miles from me.
http://www.isg-steel.co.uk/
They do deliver, but charge about £20 and have recently introduced a min £20 min order, so you will have to make sure you get most of what you want on the delivery.Try the web site address above. If you go to collect, then get in touch and have a cup of tea.

I am only aware of Maidstone Engineering Shop http://shop.maidstone-engineering.co.uk/?mod=contact

Just checked there site, they only do 300mm length's which is not ideal for the chassis.

I can't recomend anyone else as i got mine through a contact through dad's works.

IS&G wins my vote as well, much cheaper than parkers.

nb/ when you call for a price haggle, it will come down further especially if a lorry is going by your house.

The same applies to Parkers so I guess all steel stockholders

I got all my chassis steel from IS&G and recommended them to my father a couple of months back as we needed a load of angle iron (40metres).

Anyway, message taker didn't take down details first time, phoned and asked where it was, then they forgot to put it on a lorry.

They then said it would be out the following week. We told them they could stuff order and got it from Parkers.

ATB

Can't imagine anyone selling foot long bits of steel as a business - no good for anything.
Though 3000mm is a standard length for a stockholder so I suspect a typo on their site. (either missing 0 or mm when they mean cm)
