My steel is coming tomorrow!!
Can't wait to get started - I'm having 80m of 1" ERW tube delivered in the morning, and i'm going to be popping down to
Cwmbran to see Colin (CJtheman on here) who is sorting me out with some round tube and ally sheet!
It's all getting a bit exciting now!

Yep its very exciting when the steel comes and you start to lay out the chassis rails.
My chassis is nearly complete now and i stil get excited just looking at the chassis. As every little bit gets added to it, it starts to look more
like acar and its a great sense of achievment having built it from scratch!
Good luck with your build, look forward to see your beemer V8 in there!

I suggest that you take a picture of the heap of steel after it's been delivered - it's nice to show what you started with when you
finally finish the build.

It's 1.6mm wall thickness.
well it all arrived earlier and is now residing in the roof space of my garage. well - most of it is, I cut some of the chassis bottom rails earlier
and some bits to practice my welding on, turns out my gasless MIG is hopeless, see my other post on welding.
