Rear disck brakes?
Is it posible to install rear disk brake on cortina mk4 rear axel and what do I need?

Oooooh,
Seems like Rorty got out of the wrong side of the bed this morning...

I'd agree that going for disc brakes is not necessary on the Locost and this topic has been talked about plenty in the past. Basically the
brakes from a Cortina are already designed for a car weighing 3 times as much as a Locost and so they will give you more braking force than you will
every need. Of course there are other factors to consider other than pure braking FORCE if you want the ultimate braking system but in that case look
at aftermarket kits from the likes of Willwood, AP, Brembo etc and start saving your pocket money...
Another advantage of using a drum braked back end is that the handbrake cable routing will probably be easier to handle.
By the way, I'm using a Sierra disc braked back end but only 'cause I got it for nothing. I would happily use drums if that is what I had
available. It would also make it easier to find wheels to fit.
