haynes roadster shock absorber brackets

to fit original IRS driveshafts without cutting them down you have to extend the rear wishbones by 10mm or so, i would like to know if i should move the shock mount out by 10mm as well? or more? on my solidworks model it looks like the damper is at max travel at normal road height, so no droop at all? thanks al

A set of drawings for the +10mm suspension arms is available on the roadster forum.

Hi Al,

With your model are you using the standard 13" shock, or the ones with the 1" spacer fitted?

I take it that you are asking about the top shock mount position, and there's no reason why not, just remembe to make sure that you can still get the bolt through the hole in the bracket.

Regards

John

I'm not at that stage yet but no doubt what I have won't fit. Imho I'd move the brackets, adjust them to fit and then make sure it all moves
