1st Drive with new 2.0 Blacktop

I'm well impressed - my new engine is a lot more pokey than the old 1.8 and much quieter too.

I've changed my carb setup using non-repaced ZX6R carbs on a homemade manifold with home made [not very well] airbox.

I'll post some pics later.

Hi stu

Well done on the refit, is this one of the new focus engines we were talking about at the windsor show ?

Hi. Did you change from 1.8 silvertop to 2.0 blacktop?

Hi Stu,
I cant believe you aint going to use your old manifold,I can only assume that the new one you have made is a real work of art..

well done mate, look forward to the piccys.

I've changed from a 1.8 Blacktop [cos it was very noisy] to a 2.0 Blacktop from a Mondeo, so basically the same, just a bit more power.

I never used the Fatboy Dave manifold as there didn't seem to be much point. The new one certainly isn't a work of art, but it works fine and suits the car / carbs really well.

Sounds encouraging, I was going to fit my ST blacktop today but despite the sun out there is a covering of snow and its bitter in the garage...

Need to hurry that log burner along

Glad your enjoying it, took mine out yesterday, going from a 1700 X-flow to a 2L blacktop makes a massive differance above 85, private road officer

Traction was never a problem with the 1.8, but the 2.0 spins the wheels in 2nd quite easily.
