Yes guys.. chasing Donut down the straight to the sva center. finally its set for the 2nd March .
i've added my final pix into my archive. if anyone sees any suspecious looking dodgy part i've missed pls let me know. all tips welcome. The
dash is mdf covered in foam. The int' mirror (my best deal-£2) if anyone is interested is from an old Passat and it twists to remove.
Cheers to all the guys on this site.
Steve
And a very nice job it looks too! Good luck with the SVA.
Rich.
Looks really good - good luck
A couple of points to watch out for based on by SVA last week
on the nut covers pic the top wishbone mounting bracket could have been a 'sharp edge' according to my tester. I had to cover them with
split rad hose.
Also in the rear pic is that rear fog lamp vertical? they seem to be hot on that.
I'll have a look at the upper wish bone, i keep some tubing to cover it up if picked on. The fog light is mounted vertical .
Thanks
Steve
Good Luck.
She looks very nice I must say,
close up of my fog light fitting is now in my archive.
Do they reflectors have to be vertical as well?
Apart from that, looks good,
Pat...
Oh,
Have you got a fixed floor in the boot as SVA says that you need one so that you can't touch any moving parts!
Hi Avoneer,
I installed the boot supplied by MK. I felt it looks nice and functional. Thanks for the comments.
I'm thinking of bonnet vents to improve the engine air-flow at the moment , i might wait until after sva.
Steve
Very nice sir! one thing though... the big nut on the top wishbone holding the balljoint thingy needs to be covered, the nut not the ball joint
thingy...god i'm so un-technical!!
GOOD LUCK and don't worry too much, just make sure there are no loose wires, all the nuts are tight and there are NO sharp edges.
Car looks cool!
Andy
Thanks Donut,
Point taken, where did you get your grill from?
