Does the seat belts have to have an e mark to pass the sva. I have got a new set but I cannot find any e mark. David
yes they have to have e makings
David,
Did you get the racing Sabelt ones from Bill Adair? The ones with the aircraft style release? If so the don't have an E mark.
I *think* the SVA are supposed to pass an E equivilant seatbelt (ie professionally made to a similar or higher standard).
I have these and I'm getting the loan of a mates belts for the test just in case the SVA get stroppy.
Cheers

alister, no ididnt get my belts from Billy but tks. for information. By the way did you use seat runners or bolted to floor. david
I bolted mine direct to the floor. I'm only building this car for 1 person to drive! I made sure I was comfy and that's where I put it! You need to watch if you're putting runners on it you don't have the seats too high. A big part of these cars (IMHO) is that you sit really low, much higher and it would feel like you could fall out!
