I have just finished building an MK indyblade and am using the clocks from the bike, the problem I have is I don't know how to fit the sensor
for it and was wondering how other people have done this?
The engine is a 1995 CBR900RR model and there is a picture of the sensor below. On the bike the white sensor wheel fits over the nut that holds the
chain sprocket on, but on the Indy the propshaft is in the way.
Any help with this would be appreciated.
i wasnt sure how the fireblade speed sensor worked. So bought one, then realised its driven off the sprocket...
Soooooo... bought an ABS sensor, and some magnets, stick these to the prop and see how it goes.
We did this - which seemed to work for 5000 miles or so. Not ideal but it did work...

Thanks Steve, I had something similar in mind myself but wanted to see if anyone else did anything completely different.
One quick question, how did the calibration turn out on it, was the Speedo pretty accurate after you had done this? I would have thought that if
the sensor wheel was moved from the sprocket nut out onto the edge of flange adaptor (that's what it looks like you have done) that the
calibration would have been off...
Those photos above show it running from the sprocket adapter which we never did in the end. We ran the speedo pickup from the diff output flange as
the photo below shows
We used a speedohealer to correct the speedo error. It worked superbly.
