Trailer Hire
Nash - 1/6/09 at 10:07 PM

I need to hire a car trailer to get the Indy from the North East to Kent.

Anybody know where to source one from?

or

Do any of the car hire companies do one way car and trailer hire? I can't see anything on the main companies websites?

All / any info greatfully received.

If you get stuck with the one way hire, Trident Trailers are reasonably priced closest one is now Faversham i believe.

From the North East to Kent?

Is it drivable?

Give the lads at Indespension a ring to see if they will do 1 way hire.

If not I have a diesel tow car, and know that Indespension in Shiremoor will hire their Brian James flatbed for a weekend, pick up Friday night, drop off Monday morning.

I'd do it for the cost of fuel + pies + beer + trailer hire if you get REALLY stuck (bear in mind I can't offer all the insurances etc that a proper haulage firm would).

Neil

You could join the AA, pretend the engine fell out whilst out driving and get recovered home

I rang this guy today and he will charge £270 for the 275 mile delivery. It includes insurance and VAT. Not bad really.

Thanks for the tip off.
