
Which wheels should i be using on my MK to get the best performance?
I currently have a set of 16" O.Z ultraleggera on the rear and a set of questionable 14" on the front (don t no what make as they have no
centre caps)
Will my car handle better if i baught a set of 15" wheels to go all around or does it not make a difference.
The car wont really be used for trackdays, only fast road use.
Also how to people rate the yokohama parada spec 2 tyres?

not sure how much an effect will be caused by the different diameters front and back, but i'd say get the same diameter front and back.
as for what diameter that is... lol.
someone's bound to tell you 13" is the biggest you should ever go. i don't think i agree.
get your grinder out and cut 1 inch from the rears and weld that inch to the fronts so you'll have a set of 15s then get some R888s
You're always better off with odd (13/15/17/19) size wheels than even. There's more tyre choice in odd sizes.
If I remember right, your's is a BEC so you're defo' best with 13". Less weight so faster and better ride/handling.

yes my car is zx9 powered. I have seen and been told that 13" is the best way to go, but they dont look the best on the rear as the arches are
huge.
I prefer the look of 15" rims, there cant be a huge difference in the performance between the 2 if they will be used for the road??
Yes ime sure that Jenson Button or Michael Schumacher would notice but i very much doubt i would?
If i got the 15's i think i will be buying the yokohama parada spec 2 tyres as i can get them for £126 for a set of 4 and they a very grippy high
performance tyre. I dont think they will be a million miles off the R888????
If you want 15" rims and the cars a real lightweight then try some thin spoke 3 part split rims. Due to the spun alloy rim they weigh very little compared to ordinary cast alloy wheels. I’d also not go mad with the tyre width, you won’t need much really and wide tyres rapidly add weight.
If I am not mistaken (not that I've ever been wrong), 15 are the std MK rim. You may have clearance issues with 13, and it will look a bit odd in the wheel arch from what you are saying.
