Ok, so if my MK does not sell i want to make it suitable to drive in wet weather.
What do i need to make it for this? Do i just need a glass windscreen and a tonneau hood from soft bits for sevens?
Or would it be possible to buy a piece of clear reinforced perspex and use that for the windscreen and buy the hood from soft bits for sevens?
hasnt the car put you in enough debt already?
getting it weatherproof isnt cheap and i'd be looking at restricting the cars ongoing costs if i couldnt sell it.
edit: the above isnt meant to make me sound like a selfrighteous t**t - my car is teetering on the edge of affordability and I'm just one hasty
purchase away from the car being an unmanagable financial burden rather than just an expensive hobby.
In relation to your question, no you cant use reinforced perspex for your front screen unfortunately as although it is more "shatterproof"
than glass, it still isn't classed as such by the powers that be.
You need a legit E marked windscreen.

why not sell that one and buy a cheaper 7 with a smaller more economical engine that has a hood too. I had a friend that use to announce just how deep he was in debt and his mental overdraft only go out and buy a classic car for several thousand?!! Errrr priority’s quite right there??
If you do want wet weather gear MK sell it for about 1k all in.
YQUSTA
You can't use a perspex screen with windscreen wipers- it'll get scratched in no time at all. So perspex screens are best for dry use only- which kind of defeats the object of fitting wet weather gear...
it has put me in debt, but when i say debt i mean like just under 1000 worth of debt which really isnt a lot.
However, that is alot to me as i hate debt and i cant stand being in my overdraft so i want to get out.
Also when i look what i own 2 cars and a bike, i have alot of money its just tied up in assets. The bike could always go and i could keep the
kit..........
