Noticed that a couple of people (hellfire and mk9r) have had to cut and rejoin the rear panel as it is too big, is this the case for everyone, as i
havent had chance to test mine yet.
Has anyone got round it another way, as i dont really fancy cutting it and re joining as i think i would make it look crap! I dont know what i would
cover the join up with as i dont think the ali trim would look right on my car.
Also how has everyone got round joining the rear panel to the side one, where round meets square. Ive seen hellfires solution, just wondered what the
options are.
Thanks
Evening All,
Chris,
The Which Kit Indy build used ali trim to mask the join in the side panel/rear tub. I don't know where it came from though

yup im wondering the same about join-ey bit!
Scotlad, you got a bigger pic of your car? looks mint!
Greggors... please don't assume that our rear panel/ side panel joint is typical. Our internal roll bar stays were manufactured by MK
without checking, and the rear panel then fell below the tube pegs by about 1". Typically it does fit onto the pegs after a bit of a squash... so
then you don't have to put anything on them to hide anything!
IMHO - it's perfectly adequate to fit the rear panel without cutting and shutting just use piping to fill the gap between the rear panel/ rear
arch.
Our back panel did fit, but didn't look as good as we wanted. I looked at Mark and Alices car and they didn't seem to have this problem. I think there must be more than one set of moulds, of which one of them is slightly out.
pics now in archive Greggor- remember its not finished yet though!!!!
Mine fitted OK, like Hellfire says, a bit of a squash while you get some fixings in but seems OK. The only fault is the different radii between the rear panel and rear arch, but its going to have some trim fitted, soon I hope.
Our boot lid moulding will lp down around the entire boot area, so will hide the back panel to side panel joint

I may build my next house from fibreglass!
....and then sell them to the House Building fraternity Good idea....... much bigger market!!!!
Dont give him any ideas, we need to get some bits out of him before he get carried away.
