Propshaft Bracket
Blackcab - 7/8/09 at 09:47 PM

Is it necessary to use a bracket to support the propshaft - I see no mention of it any where apart from in the RAPTOR build manual

http://www.kitsnklassics.com/buildmanuals/Raptor_build_manual.htm

- has anyone else put a support bracket in and can I have a pic ?

Thanks

If your using a two piece prop with center bearing then a support bracket is a must.

Mine is a single piece - are these an off the shelf part or is it fabrication time ?

If it's single piece, you don't need one (it'd be a bad idea)

And the one in that link appears to be a pillow block bearing, so off the shelf

if you got a single piece prop (i think the best way, others may think differently) but no centre bearing needed

Thought I was reading the MK build manual not a raptor one, looks like a direct rip off
