Handbrake-cable

I'm using MK-indy rear uprights on my Locost with sierra calipers.
Which handbrake-cable do i need or what is the part that MK uses?

Greetings Rob

use a seirra cable and shorten it,there are various methods here to join the 2 ends again

bit of brake pipe, solder, blowtorch and thick gloves

MK sell them at 22.99, but you will probably have to shorten it. I cut one end off and fitted a new nipple (solder on) but many cut in the middle and pass both ends through a brass ferrel, bit like a cable block connector (30amp size).
the choice is yours !

hmmm, i wouldn't be so keen on using a cable block connector in the middle, although it might work nicely on the end to get it set right (then soldering for security)

I shortened the cable and re-soldered on a new nipple like Berwyn.

MK cut one end off and use a solderless version of the original end .. see handbrake cable end photo in my archive.. I beleive the AA use them if your hand brake cable snaps they just thread a new length of inner through the original outer and put these ends on MK also sell them but I can't find a source.
