will the std engine mounted pinto fuel pump deliver enough fuel to run dcoe40 carbs or do i have to go the electric route
cheers
tony
The impresion i get is that all things being perfect it should be ok but it might stuggle at high speeds or under hard acceleration. Its not hard to fit an electric pump and regulator during the build but could be much more work later.Look on Ebay theres usually several pumps on sale and they only make about half their retail value, performance ford and classic ford mags are also a good source.
No problem unless you are intending to produce 140bhp +
used to run dcoe45s with mech pump on a robin hood, but couldent keep up with fuel flow when on the track-ok on the road though.

yeah could well have been, though once it cut out, it would take 20 secs o churning to get it going, so reckon its more a fuel starvation problem
