Hello all, as you may know my bro in law stuffed my car into the tyre wall at a trackday and am looking to have a go at repairing the nosecone as not too bad. The question is what is the correct colour paint, and can I get it from Halfords etc...

Looks pretty much the same colour as mine, night blue RAL 5022.

The problem with the fibreglass RAL colours is that they are different from the paint RAL colours I have the same problem, except I have a blue nose cone, but, need a yellow one.

Where can I get this elusive RAL paint from, had a quick look in H@@@@@@S and to no joy, as got the fibreglassing kit, filler etc but need the paint so i can get it all done in the next month or so...

RAL isn't a make of paint, it's the colour code of the paint, so you can have a batch made up at any factors. The RAL code of fibre glass is the colour of the gelcoat, but the codes don't correspond with the paint codes

I managed to get a litre from an ebay shop,cost just over 20 quid when i got mine which is not bad for cellulose.

As a search i just put in "RAL 5022 night blue"

Thanks for the help, but I do not have a spray gun so wonder if there is anywhere that does them in aerosol form??
