Anybody know apart from the engine if a ford sierra 1.8td running gear etc and rest of car is the same as the 1.8/2.0 pinto cars?
Thanks
Little things like no efi pump and revcounter may be different if you are using the clocks.
Steve
it'll have a type 9 gearbox with a long input shaft (like the V6 ones) and a slightly longer bellhousing to match

mcerd1+ steve,
Cheers for that lads, not caring about engine and box, just running gear, diff ,steering colum etc for donnar pack
Rik
I'm sure some one will give you a couple of beer tokens for the box then
Diff ratio may suit the BECers asit is a higher ratio. Can't remember the ratio now

The diff would suit me fine as I have a bec indy at the min and its 3.9 and was thinking about going that route again
Rear drums will give better brake balance as well - and an easy handbrake pass.
Lot to be said for rear drums

The 2.3 Peugeot engined sierra had the 3.15:1, the 1.8 TD usually had the standard 3.92:1
