Hi guys,
Can't find anything about this, maybe the mk rad normally comes with one but I don't have one..
Where's the best place to buy a temperature sensor for the rad on my mk Indy. It's got the mk supplied rad.
Thanks
Most motor factors should sell them, I can't remember the size but 22mm springs to mind. Some of them have operating temps stamped into them so you can pick and choose dependant on when you want the fan to cut in.
When you say temp sensor, do you mean the electric fan thermo switch? I think the rad is fom a mk2 escort.

Hi John,
Yeah its the switch that screws into the side of the rad that you use to flick the fan on when it hits desired temp.
Thanks
I used just whatever i found to fit as i used the bike engines own temp switch which goes to ecu to tell the fan to run or not
I just bought one last night and a a third the price of CBS.

The big volume European manufacturers tended to use 22mm
Old style Fiat Panda ones are 22mm and have standard Lucar spade connectors.
Japanese cars generally use 16mm but most have special plug fittings
BMW & Volvo used 14mm usually with spade connectors.
