what rate springs have you people used on the front and rear and what length shockers??????
We are running Pro-tech aluminium coil overs, full adjustables. 350/200 - IIRC. In our collective opinions the car is difficult to handle on bumps as
it is probably too hard.
It may be great for track days but we would like to change them down a bit as track days will only account for 2-3% of our driving.
I'm running Same as Hellfire, though personally i find the ride very good with the dampers on full soft compared with other kit cars i have
driven (spine rattlers!).I find the car remains well planted without the steering wheel writhing around like a mad thing over every bump- all down to
personal taste of course........

Yep mine is the pro-tech coilovers with 350 springs at the front and the 200 at the back. The springs are set to as soft as possible i.e. as fully
extended as possible, she is probably a little too soft for the track but seems OK on the road.
I might investigate geting a hold of a C spanner and tightening up the springs a bit for track days.
Oh also the dampers are set somewhere close to the middle (about 7 clicks out of 13 I think).
Without getting myself into trouble with Trade Descriptions Act - the (alleged) Roads could be somewhat better around this area. Akin to probably Iraq
at the moment!!!
Maybe "they" haven't been repaired since WWII, which doesn't justify the extortionate Road Fund Licence me thinks.
alister667 when you say the springs are at the softest, do you mean the bottom of them is the lowest or highest possible?
Thanks
You can't adjust the spring stiffness ( 'hard' or 'soft' ) by altering the spring seat - all this will do it raise or lower
the car. If you want more or less stiff springs then you need to buy ones with a different rate.
Cheers,
Matt.

My springs are set at their most uncompressed - thus at max ride height.
Matt, you're right, once I think about all those old physics lessons and hookes law!!
Sorry for any confusion.
Probably won't buy that C spanner now!!
wrong again!!! most uncompressed = lowest ride height, as you compress the spring the car will go up!!
Cheers......Ben
I think he means the damper is uncompressed, as in the higher you screw the bottom seat the longer the whole unit will be.

Oh lordy!
At this stage I'm not even sure if I have a car! If I do - I don't know if it has suspension. If it has supension I DEFINITELY have NO
idea if the springs are upside down, compressed, uncompressed, or even if they are actually springs at all!!!
I'll think I'll keep quiet about springs and their adjustment for a while!!
